If your buttons doesn't click anymore when you press on them, it's time to replace the small switch located behind.
This switches are the exact replacement part, in size and feeling.
The color of the small button is now red, it was green or white in the 80's.
 
Used on almost 1985-1992 ALPINE head units with a few exceptions (7903).
